The Home Industrial Craftsmanship Show

After much careful thought and consideration, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the 2015 Oregon Gears Show,

Scheduled for September 26 & 27, 2015.

There were many things that went into this decision,

but primarily, it is due to the Grand Opening of the new transportation hub (Light Rail, Streetcar, Bus, Pedestrian, and Bike Paths)

directly in front of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. The Grand Opening is set to take place two weeks prior to the show,

not allowing any time to evaluate what the resulting parking and travel patterns will be like with this new addition.

Also, there is much work being done with the SP 4449 to have it steamed up on time for its upcoming schedule,

after being out of service the past two years for its 15 year annual.

We want to ensure that all the time and care that is required to go into putting on the show is available and

we are unable to guarantee that this year because of these things.

We do plan on continuing the show in September 2016 at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

We will know what the Light Rail line will be running like at that time and how the parking situation will be affected.
